About Chia Yee Shan
Street Jazz/ Jazz Tech Instructor
Yeeshan started dancing when he was 18, and he had never turned back from what he love.
Having started in Hip Hop and later led into Jazz by his mentor, Mr Peter Teo, Yeeshan picked up Ballet, Tap, Pole Acrobatic, Circus Arts and Acrobatic Balancing during his training under the Developing Artiste Programme in Jitterbugs Singapore studio, thereby discovering more reasons to love dance through the different genres.
With his versatility in dance, Yeeshan was invited to perform in commercial projects and musicals under both local and foreign artistes and choreographers, Dick Lee, Fan Dong Kai, Jimmy Vairon (France), Alexey Balash (Russia) and Derrick Barry (America). He also choreographed items for concerts in various tertiary schools and the graduation show for Jitterbugs Singapore studio’s Developing artiste programme.
Yeeshan also led his team “Quartz” in clinching the placing of 1st runner up for a recent Contemporary Dance competition “The Royal Dance Off 2012”.
Dance has opened up a new world for him and he is thrilled to be living his passion and fighting for his dreams to achieve greater heights and perfection. Believing that anyone can dance, Yeeshan wishes to inspire and bring more people together in this journey of self discovery through this art form.
