Head of Dance Department

Karen is a dancer and choreographer in Singapore, pursuing her passion in artistic movement. For more than 7 years, she has received intensive and extensive training in street styles such as Hip Hop, Reggae and Street Jazz. Karen has also worked closely under international choreographers like Nish Mathur (Aus), Prepix Crew (Kor), Patrick Loo (SG), Xue Gao (TW), Xiao Ke (China).

Karen’s performance portfolio includes working with popular music artistes, JJ Lin, BY2, Rainie Yang and Jocie Guo. She has also choreographed and danced for media productions such as Singapore Entertainment Awards. As a member of NUS Dance Blast!, Karen has had the opportunity to stage items for annual dance concerts such as ‘Shut Up and Dance!’ and ‘ExxonMobil Campus Concerts’.

Karen’s passion for dance lies essentially in the ability to touch and inspire people, in particular, youths to appreciate artistic movement. She strives to continue in her efforts to inspire the community of both dancers and non-dancers to see the value in the art form and embrace it in their lives.
