Mdm. Chew is a language education specialist and currently serves as the MOE-approved directing teacher for the Children’s Theatre Performing Arts of the Singapore People’s Association.
With 22 years of experience in children’s music performance and education, Mdm. Chew has developed and implemented syllabi for children's visual and listening education. For 15 years, she was the teacher-in-charge of speech and drama teams at several primary schools, where she played a pivotal role in nurturing young talents. In addition to her teaching career, Mdm. Chew was a DJ for 95.8 radio FM and served as the head of the teenagers' and children's department at a local television station for seven years.
Mdm. Chew's passion for music education began at a young age under the tutelage of renowned composer and conductor 许元良, who taught her classical piano and music arrangement. She also studied soprano and performing arts under soprano masters 陈岳凤 and 苏燕卿, and celebrity performing artist Koh Cheng Mum. Her dedication to music led her to achieve professional accreditation from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
Driven by her deep passion for music and education, Mdm. Chew continues to inspire and educate young minds through her extensive work in language and performing arts education.
